Indian Athletes who have won the medals in Tokyo Olympics 2020
India is proud of their Athletes who have participated in Tokyo Olympics 2020. They have made India and the Indian fans to live the moment of happiness.
India have recorded their best of all Olympics in this edition. They have won 7 medals (one gold, two silver and four bronze) by surpassing the London Games 2012 in which India had won 6 medals (two silver and four bronze).
Lets have a look on the Athletes who have done this great job:
1. Neeraj Chopra (Gold Medal)

Neeraj Chopra created the history by winning the gold medal in men's Javelin throw final. He registered the longest distance throw of 87.58m in his second round. His celebration even without seeing the throw was showing his confidence.
He is also a soldier in an Indian Army. He has won gold medal in the National Junior Championship in 2021,silver medal in National Youth Championship 2013 and also won silver medal in Asian Junior Championship 2017. He also won the Arjuna Award in 2018.
He has won Gold Medal in Asian Games 2018. He was also nominated for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratana Award which is Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratana Award now. He holds many more achievements and world records.
2. Mirabai Chanu (Silver Medal)
Embed from Getty ImagesMirabai Chanu was the first Indian Athlete to win the medal in Tokyo Olympics 2020. She created history by winning the silver medal in women's 49 kg category in weight lifting. She has won many championships at Commonwealth Games. She was also awarded with the Padma Shri Award by Indian Government because of her contributions in sports. She was also awarded Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award in 2018. She has made every Indian proud by her great performances and achievements at world level.
3. Ravi Kumar Dahiya (Silver Medal)
Embed from Getty ImagesRavi Kumar Dahiya is the fifth Indian Wrestler to win the medal in Olympics after KD Jadhav, Sushil Kumar(two times), Sakshi Malik and Yogeshwar Dutt. He won the medal under 57kg of free style wrestling. He had to satisfy with silver medal as he lost the final to world champion Zaur Uguev from Russia.
4. Lovlina Borgohain (Bronze Medal)
Embed from Getty ImagesLovlina Borgohain won the bronze medal in boxing under 69 kg category in her debut at Olympics.
She is only the third Indian boxer to achieve this milestone. She beats the Chinese boxer Taipei's Nien-Chin Chen by 4:1 in quarter final to reach the semifinal.
5. PV Sindhu (Bronze Medal)
Embed from Getty ImagesPV Sindhu is a badminton player. She won the bronze medal in the Olympics 2020. She is the only woman to become the two times medalist at Olympics. Before she had won the silver medal at Rio Olympics 2016.
6. Indian Men's Hockey Team (Bronze Medal)

They beat the Germany by 5-4 to clinch their semi's spot against Belgium. However, they lost the game against former world number one team Belgium by 2-5. Indian men's hockey team is the most successful team ever in Olympics. They have won 8 gold medals in the history of Olympics.
7. Bajrang Punia (Bronze Medal)
Embed from Getty ImagesBajrang Punia is a wrestler. He won the bronze medal in the 65kg category. He achieved this milestone by beating Daulet Niyazbekov of Kazakhstan by 8-0. It was India's 7th medal at Olympics in wrestling when he won the medal.
The way Indian Athletes performed in Olympics 2020 was exceptional and India claimed their best Olympics edition in the history.
